Job Description
Sure Start Staff are looking for experienced technically skilled Quality Engineer to join our busy manufacturing client based in the Bolton area.

Pay: 25-35K (Depending on experience)
Location: Bolton
Hours: Mon – Thurs – 7.30am – 4pm, Fri – 7.30am – 1pm
Role Description
* Manage all aspects of Quality Control relating to production.
* Programming computer-based inspection equipment such as CMM's.
* Facilitate calibration of all Inspection & Test Equipment.
* Maintain product conformity- Raise and action supplier rejects & Customer NCR's (CQR & DMN) system.
* Interpretation of all dimensional requirements relating to units in manufacture via drawings / specifications.
* Working with the production team to help influence manufacturing to improved product quality.
* Operation of all inspection equipment and generation of output documentation resulting from inspections.
* Proactively promote and contribute to the quality culture of the business.
Responsibilities
* Point of contact and advice for all issues relating to quality control within the production areas.
* Administrating & maintaining Quality based software such as HighQA.
* Ensure all Inspection equipment is maintained to the appropriate standards for operational requirements.
* Provide and assist with completion of documentation relating to Quality Control including Inspection reports and Certificates of Conformity, PPAP Information, ISR's, 80 reporting.
* Communicate all pertinent information to the Quality Assurance Manager as and when issues arise.
* Ensure all Inspection & Test Equipment in use is within the current calibration period.
* Make key decisions over Re-work, Scrap being required or not - Communicate to Production Manager & Quality Assurance Manager as and when required.
* Ensure all production inspection requirements are met daily.
* Dealing with NCRs relating to Customer Complaints and Quality Control Issues in conjunction with QA Manager I Production Manager.
* Ensure CMM Programming levels are maintained to comply with customer internal requirements.

Person Specification
* Experience: within an engineering/manufacturing role.
* Previous experience of Quality management.
* Digital mindset and highly Skilled on Computers – Software focused: Computer Science, Programming Qualification & skills would be beneficial.
* Experience in use of CMM desirable.
* Responsible and forward-thinking mindset, with a logic-based attitude.
* Organised and proficient work ethic.
* Good attention to detail.
