Job Description
Fast growing e commerce business based in the Altrincham area requires an Assistant Financial Controller. This is a newly created role due to the rapid growth and investment in the business. Reporting to the CFO duties will include;
• Reconciliation of various controls across financial systems and bank accounts
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets
• Leading work with external auditors in preparing the financial statements
• Accounting of component replacements and all other fixed assets and investments.
• Line management and mentorship of the Finance Team
• Delivery of process improvements and system developments across the organisation, in partnership with other members of the staff team.
The right person for the role will have the following attributes:
• Financial acumen and track record of analytical problem solving
• Organised, motivated and can manage their time and prioritise workload
• Positive attitude, adaptable, does what it takes to get the right outcome
• Demonstrates drive and resilience and thrives in a fast paced and at times pressured environment and can easily adapt to change
Essential:
• Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Excellent all-round accountancy skills and experience of working in the e commerce/retail sectors
• Experience of using accounting software applications
• Experience of system management, reporting & data analysis
• Good working knowledge of desktop applications; especially Microsoft Excel
• Experience of preparing management accounts
