We are seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant to represent Mekhann, embodying our values and acting as the knowledgeable, approachable face of our brand.
Position Overview:
As our Store Asssitant, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our retail store on Bond Street. This multifaceted position involves a variety of responsibilities, from retail sales and light administrative tasks to assisting both trade and retail customers with product and design advice. You will also contribute to design and product development, establish and nurture relationships with trade clients, and support our marketing and social media initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, both in-store and online, to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Mekhann’s product offerings, including the history, techniques, and cultural significance of our textiles.
- Brand Representation: Represent Mekhann at trade shows, events, and in-store, embodying the brand’s values and ensuring a consistent brand message.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to effectively position Mekhann’s products in the market.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to assist in strategic planning and product development.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and product offerings
Shop Operations (On-Site):
- Oversee the day-to-day management of our Mayfair retail store.
- Ensure that store displays are meticulously curated and presented to the highest standards.
- Process online orders, including packaging and shipping.
- Actively seek and engage new trade and retail clients.
- Assist with product shoots to showcase our collections.
- Support the creation and distribution of newsletters using our CRM system.
- Conduct market research and compile reports on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Key Requirements:
- A self-motivated, ambitious individual with a strong drive to excel.
- A genuine passion for sales and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the luxury goods or interiors industry for at least 2-3 years.
- Confident in handling customer inquiries, both in person and via phone and email.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with high attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth.
