Job Description

Training The Street (TTS) is the world’s leading provider of instructor-led courses in accounting, financial statement analysis, financial modeling and corporate valuation training to Wall Street investment banks, business schools, colleges & universities, and individuals staring a career in finance. We have a deep field of expert instructors and extensive practical experience. In 2022, TTS trained approximately 50,000 participants in live seminars across the globe. TTS expanded its global reach and capabilities by acquiring London based AMT Training in December 2021 and Canadian based Marquee Group in April 2023.


The Business Development team is hiring a Business Development Executive – Seminar Sales to work out of our London, UK office. The Business Development Executive will be an individual contributor role and a core component of the team’s sales efforts. Successful candidates will be self-starters who are well organized and possess outstanding communication skills. Within this role, you will be responsible for both proactively reaching out to prospective buyers as well as supporting our existing client base – especially regarding expressed interest in our public training courses. This role will support our customers and prospects by understanding their needs, finding alignment with Training The Street’s services, and persuading decision makers to take action with us. Over time the role may evolve into directly serving our corporate/in-house training growth objectives from a new business development perspective. Although the position can be hybrid, TTS is looking for the team member to live within the London, UK area and come into the London office on a weekly basis. Renumeration structure for this role will consist of a base salary plus commission - this will range from £37,500 to £60,000 with base salary and commission potential.

Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate an outstanding level of communication, both verbal and written.
  • Identify opportunities using all available resources and social media platforms.
  • Build rapport quickly with prospective clients and eagerly seek new prospects.
  • Develop client relationships that enable an understanding of their needs, preferences, and objectives.
  • Effectively position the Training The Street value proposition and increase sales.
  • Identify potential new trends in client buying behaviors and preferences.
  • Demonstrate persistence and creativity in their day-to-day work to drive results.
  • Collaborate with Senior Business Development Manager - Europe, CEO of Europe & Africa, Marketing and Business Development leads to harmonize efforts with corporate strategies and go-to-market initiatives.

Preferred Industry Specific Experience:


  • Experience in selling seminars, training courses, and / or self-study products
  • Experience in selling to technical experts and management levels in Financial Services, Consulting & Advisory Services, and finance professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or five years of relevant sales experience.
  • Evidence of making an average of 50 outbound calls daily while effectively responding to inbound inquiries.
  • Experience closing sales in the transaction range of $5,000 - $25,000.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft 365 office systems, and use of social media to extend prospecting efforts.
