Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests and alerts
• As part of a global team to coordinate across support teams to quickly resolve disruptions to technology services, through functional triage, performing root cause analysis, and taking preventative measures
• Responsible for swiftly resolving disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels
• Ensure the applications operate smoothly and seamlessly both from the front-end perspective as well as batch and data feed perspective
• Interact with peers globally and support on a follow-the-sun model
• Actively identifies and addresses vulnerabilities
• Works with team to provide details to management and key external partners on broad-ranging projects, tasks, and incidents

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial services industry supporting front-to-back office applications
• Possesses solid understanding of the tech and asset management industries and internal business units to enable navigation of key partners and understanding of impact
• Experience managing complex deployments and environments
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Experience supporting and using APIs
• Experience with logging tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Experience working with Ticketing systems like ServiceNow and/or JIRA
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation to reduce manual and complex processes
• Available for out of hours support, including on-call via rota
• Works across teams to review technology portfolio and make recommendations for procedures and practices
