The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts across the full suite of our Phacilitate products portfolio (Digital, Advanced Therapies Week and Advanced Therapies Europe). This role will be instrumental in driving revenue through the sale of high-value sponsorship packages to exhibiting customers within the life sciences sector. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging key clients, building strong relationships, and ensuring that our sponsorship offerings meet client objectives and align with industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed personal and team sales targets across the Phacilitate event and product portfolio.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new business, closing accounts for long-term partnerships.
- Identify and secure new accounts to drive portfolio growth, aligning with key client needs.
- Create and implement key account strategies to maximize opportunities and expand relationships.
- Manage accounts in Salesforce, providing accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
- Reach benchmark activity levels to maximize revenue from an expanding vendor base.
- Utilize a ‘challenger’ sales approach to guide clients toward solutions that meet their objectives.
- Build strong client relationships through regular in-person and virtual meetings.
- Develop tailored, ROI-focused solutions, targeting a 75%+ retention rate.
- Generate new business, representing 30-40% of total sales targets, and contribute to event strategy while maintaining high customer service standards.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
- Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or account management within the B2B events and conference/exhibition sector or the Life Sciences industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the life sciences sector and its key players is highly advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organisation.
- Target-Driven: Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and translating them into tailored sponsorship solutions.
- Project Management: Experience in managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to attend exhibitions, client meetings, and industry events.
