Job Details

Our Advanced Analytics team are searching for someone who will confidently and sustainably grow the revenue and profit from our marketing analytics and media services in the UK and Ireland whilst driving new capabilities. This role will lead in developing the offer, innovation, thought leadership and overall expertise within the area. You will own the overall process of selling and delivering analytical projects based on our marketing and media capabilities within the UK client base.

This role requires seeking and developing new partnerships and services, both within Kantar Worldpanel's own capabilities and where relevant with appropriate partner agencies to create additional revenue opportunities. You'll personally find opportunities for our marketing and media solutions, lead pitches and delivery of client projects within the UK, Ireland and UK client base. Build knowledge and expertise of our marketing and media capabilities among the Client Consultant and Client Service teams, to enable them to see opportunities with their clients. Work with Global product functions and local teams to implement a commercial strategy to maximise our chances of growing UK revenue and profit. This includes developing global pilot projects based in the UK. Increase KWPs reputation within the UK media and marketing research community. Demonstrate credibility and expertise in talking about our advanced marketing and media solutions. Build personal relationships with key decision makers at client and prospect sites.

Financial Management
  • Lead the annual budget setting process, co-operating with peers and Directors to make realistic assessments of potential client spending and associated costs and identifying the most likely source of growth for the coming year.
  • Responsibility for the commercial plan, pipeline building through raising awareness of solutions within CS and working with them to identify and develop specific client opportunities.
  • Lead the delivery of revenue and profit objectives for your area of the business.
  • Work with Client Consultant and CS teams to identify revenue gaps and plans for closing these over the course of the year, ensuring achievement of budget is always top of mind.
  • Monitor sales performance, report to the business and course correct on a regular basis.
Service Development
  • Clearly establish where there is potential for our media services to increase share and the actions which need to be taken to realise this.
  • Influence global and local senior team members to secure support and investment as required.
  • Regularly seek input from clients about the ongoing relevance of our marketing and media services in relation to their changing priorities, ensuring these are recognised by the senior team and future opportunities are identified in good time.
  • Assist global product and analytics functions in developing a full range of marketing and media services which will future proof our offer.
Analysis & Insight
  • Drive awareness amongst clients and our client service teams of our marketing and media capabilities.
  • Project manage projects, to ensure we are delivering high-quality analysis and insight to agreed timelines. Lead project delivery or, where appropriate oversee and actively support delivery by an Advanced Analytics Client Consultant.
  • Seek out new insight from colleagues, making sure that clients are exposed to best and latest thinking on key topics.
  • Know at all times what the clients' hot topics are, and ensure that you have a clear opinion and demonstrate credibility on these subjects.
  • Deliver thought leadership in your area of expertise, making sure that you develop and communicate new intelligence on key topics to Worldpanel colleagues and the wider industry.
  • Represent the Kantar Worldpanel brand on your area of expertise in clients' boardroom or in large forums.
Team Leadership
  • Manage and coach direct line reports within Marketing and Media function (currently 4).
  • Coach and mentor people within the Advanced Analytics team.
  • Act as a senior go to person within the team. Contribute to the wider running of Advanced Analytics often outside of own remit or function.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Build relationships within a complex structure with multiple internal and external collaborators.
  • Actively work collaboratively with a broad range of third parties, from media owners and agencies to FMCG brand owners and retailers.
  • Display subject credibility among peers and board level contacts in both client and internal settings Influence at a senior level both one-on-one and in large forums.
  • Spot opportunities or challenges and personally initiate the actions required to address these.
  • Be prepared to tackle conflict by dealing with people and have difficult, challenging discussions when necessary.
  • Remain confident when dealing with negative situations, maintain smooth relationships when difficult circumstances prevail and develop a culture of trust both within and outside the team.
  • Be highly skilled at drawing valuable insights from market research data.
  • Be alert to changing situations, show flexibility in approach, adaptability in difficult circumstances and continuously strive to achieve a result.
  • Deliver tangible, measurable results against specific objectives.
