Job Description

Banking Lawyer, Niche Private Bank

The Organisation

This leading retail bank prides itself on its range of products and being part of the community in which it operates, ensuring customers enjoy a uniquely personal banking experience. With a strong commitment to adapting to customer needs and CSR, this bank continues to have a uniquely loyal customer base which continues to go from strength to strength.

The Opportunity

The bank now has an opportunity for a lawyer to join the business. In this position, you will play a key role in drafting and managing retail banking documents for the business, primarily related to lending. As part of a small legal team, you will work closely with senior management; you will also work closely with the wider business and advise on a range of day to day matters common in the running of a UK bank.

About You

A lending background is key, with knowledge of banking consumer products and the regulatory framework around these being helpful, or any real estate investment experience. A broad finance skill-set of any sectors will be considered; key will be a commercial approach and the ability and an interest in a varied role. A positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for working with people and building relationships is also key.

The role requires a commercial or financial services lawyer ideally with some lending experience who would like to step into a varied role, working closely with the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a niche retail bank.
