Director of Business Development

BioTalent is working with a global leader in providing innovative drug safety solutions on their search for a Consulting and Services Business Development Director based in London.

As a Business Development Director you will lead consulting and services sales within the life sciences sector. This role focuses on expanding consulting business following SaaS license sales, covering implementation, managed services, and post-implementation support for drug safety software.

You will be responsible for:

• Drive sales for initial implementation services and post-license consulting
• Promote managed services for ongoing support, system optimisation, and maintenance
• Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction throughout the consulting lifecycle
• Serve as the main contact for consulting-related inquiries and deliver strategic guidance
• Lead contract negotiations for consulting and managed services, ensuring favourable terms
• Oversee the creation and execution of service agreements with clear documentation

You will bring the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field
• 12+ years of experience in business development or consulting sales within life sciences
• Proven success in expanding consulting and managed services in a SaaS environment
• Expertise in SaaS-based solutions, cloud technologies, and enterprise software
