The Opportunity

Finatal is partnered with a leading professional services business with a strong foothold in the UK south-east market and the backing of reputable mid-market private equity fund. The company is seeking an ambitious and experienced CFO to facilitate an ambitious journey of expansion through strategic acquisitions, integrating numerous bolt-on acquisitions in a fragmented market to increase national brand recognition and diversify revenue streams.

Role and Responsibilities

As the CFO you will be at the forefront of the growth strategy, responsible for shaping and executing financial vision in alignment with the company’s buy and build objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with private equity partners, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and due diligence for potential acquisitions.

• Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions, evaluating financial health, risks, and synergies.
• Drive financial analysis to support investment decisions, highlighting key value drivers and growth opportunities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, delivering accurate and timely financial insights to stakeholders.
• Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and treasury operations to support our expansion plans.
• Foster a culture of financial accountability and innovation within the finance team.
• Previous experience in a high-level financial role at a fast-growing private equity backed business required, preferably with experience in executing buy and build strategies.
• Expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and analysis to inform investment decisions as well as exceptional leadership abilities, capable of guiding and inspiring a diverse finance team.
