Research Analyst – Climate Innovation

A progressive company in the climate innovation space is seeking a Research Analyst to expand their research initiatives. The role involves driving forward research and analysis on emerging technologies, data trends, and market developments within the sustainability and climate tech sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed research across sectors like renewable energy, industrial decarbonization, carbon solutions, advanced battery technologies, and sustainable resource management.
• Analyse data on investments, project deployment, supply chains, and market trends to assess commercialization opportunities.
• Simplify complex data and findings into actionable insights for a diverse audience including investors, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
• Build relationships with external partners and contribute to thought leadership, reinforcing the organization's role as a key source of knowledge in climate innovation.
• Stay informed on emerging trends and technological advances, incorporating these into research deliverables and reports.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in research within sectors such as decarbonisation, carbon capture, grid technologies, battery innovation, or sustainable mining.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
• A strong interest in climate technology and a desire to explore the economic and commercial implications of new technologies.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in fields such as Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environmental Science, or similar disciplines.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or Python is a plus.
