Job Description

Due to the continuing success and growth of our UK team, AESG are looking for a Senior Fire Surveyor to support the division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of fire & life safety surveying. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating technical engineering solutions and a willingness to work across multiple large-scale projects.


This role requires you to be an experienced leader with high levels of technical experience in fire surveying to clients in addition to traditional Fire & Life Safety design and engineering services.


This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Fire Safety Surveyor seeking a leadership role within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.


Key Responsibilities

The role will include:

  • Working closely with clients to ensure an exemplary level of quality
  • Extensive project management
  • Working with our multidiscipline team to ensure coordinated outputs
  • Supporting the development our Fire & Life Safety offering to the UK


The ideal candidate fits the below profile:

  • Expert understanding of fire engineering principals
  • Experience in numerous complex and prestigious projects across the UK
  • Strong communication skills, a thought leader in the industry
  • Motivated and self-driven (entrepreneurial outlook)

  • Good relationship builder (internal and external)
  • Collaborative personality


Must have/be:

  • BSc Degree in Fire Engineering or similar
  • Ideally a Masters Degree in Fire Engineering
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Fire Safety / Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors. Public Sector experience would also be a big advantage.
  • 3+ years in Fire Surveying across residential and commercial property.
  • A thorough understanding of Building Surveying related to Fire and Compliance
  • Able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required, within time and budget
