Main Purpose of Job:
The Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Analyst will support the management and monitoring of the DUA portfolio, working closely with the DUA Manager and Chief Underwriting Officers. The role involves ensuring that all DUAs are compliant with regulatory requirements and facilitating their ongoing operation.
Key Tasks:
- Conduct due diligence to ensure delegated authority contracts (e.g., Binding Authorities, Consortia, Lineslips, and Master/Group Policies) meet risk appetite standards and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the review of Binding Authority contracts and liaise with brokers as needed.
- Support the DUA Manager with due diligence and management of new coverholder applications to Lloyd’s.
- Manage bordereaux processing to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in coverholder audits, including scheduling, processing audit reports, and managing audit recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Claims) to resolve queries.
- Collate relevant MI for internal meetings (e.g., monthly Underwriting Committees) and coordinate data for regulatory returns as required.
- Participate in the periodic review of Delegated Authority processes, written procedures, and controls to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
- Support the DUA Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant Lloyd’s Principles.

Key Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Professional Qualifications Required:
- Extensive experience in managing Lloyd’s coverholder relationships, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s Delegated Authority systems, including Atlas, DCOM, DAM, and Wordings Repository.
- Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical expertise on DUA business and processes.
- A solid understanding of Coverholder and Bordereaux systems.
