Job Description
Company Overview:
We are a rapidly expanding global holding company acquiring B2B software companies worldwide, particularly in the US and Europe. We are seeking a talented Finance Manager with a CPA or CA qualification and 3-5 years of experience in fast-growing technology companies.
About the Role:
The Finance Manager will champion the integration of the finance team alongside the rest of the business (including portfolio companies and group holding companies) as well as act as the financial controller on the consolidated Group accounts.
Responsibilities and Outputs:
- Performance Reporting: identify key business drivers, provide relevant reporting infrastructure to ensure that the company can capably measure and manage performance.
- Financial and Strategic Planning: expand beyond the traditional areas of FP&A to allow planning accuracy, agility, and actionability
- Financial Control: GAAP compliance, statutory reporting and audit, tax (outsourced), working capital optimization (payable, receivables) and treasuries
Performance Reporting
- Performance reporting incorporates both operational and financial results that allow for enhanced narratives to add operational relevance, allowing more actionable outcomes.
- KPIs: Review and, if necessary, re-define with the commercial stakeholders the portfolio companies value drivers to better focus operations and investment.
- Review, enhance and enrich the current reporting suite owned by the finance team.
- Support the finance Team and management on exploring the "why" behind variances and perform in depth & trend analysis
Financial and Strategic Planning
- Build, run and monitor the entire Group budgeting & forecasting process
- Facilitate a more collaborative, continuous planning process to ensure FP&A adapts to shifts in strategy.
- Embed KPIs (identified earlier in the ‘business reporting’ section) into the forecast models, thus increasing accuracy and relevancy of the analysis.
- Business risk management: spot early signals of targets and forecast being missed and proactively look for ways to address issues.
- Understand the business strategy and provide relevant insight and support into business performance
Financial Control
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial services providers
- Validation and incremental improvement of the chart of accounts, overseeing and controlling the bookkeeping and ensuring perfect communication protocol with third parties in relation to accounting
- Review of annual accounts and annual tax submission with the external accounting service provider
- Prepare financial results, forecasts and audited accounts to the management and board of Directors at its scheduled sessions as well as at an agreed communications timetable.
Qualifications:
Hard skills
- Master's degree, or similar level qualifications, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practice
Soft skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Appetite for / experience of entrepreneurial environments
