Salary: £27,000 + Based on experience, annually

Job description


We are Elizabeth School of London (www.elizabethschool.com). We are hiring for the position of an Operations Administrative Assistant, who will be working closely with our Head of Campus Operations.



Reports to: Head of Campus Operations


Job purpose: Provide administrative support to the Operations Department in the daily management of the school, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient operations across all ESL learning sites. This role requires close collaboration with Senior Leadership.



Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in daily operations: manage all administrative functions across operations of ESL learning sites.
  • Cross-departmental coordination: ensure seamless collaboration between departments.
  • Project management: deliver special projects aimed at improving student experience and operational processes.
  • Event coordination: plan and oversee operational events.
  • Facilities coordination: assist the learning sites to liaise with Procurement or other vendors for any facility needs.
  • Assist in compiling data and reports, including operational metrics, compliance reports and data analysis.



Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in an administrative or operations role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple departments and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with database systems, student information systems (SIS), or scheduling software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with staff, students, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to draft reports, memos, and official communications effectively.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy work environment.
  • Ability to think critically and provide solutions to operational challenges.
  • Strong decision-making skills when supporting day-to-day operations and handling logistical issues.
  • Ability to work well in a team, supporting various departments and fostering good relationships with staff.
  • Experience in working closely with senior leadership or management teams.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information, especially concerning student records or school policies.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating events, meetings, or training sessions.
  • Knowledge of school health and safety, emergency protocols, or evacuation procedures may be beneficial.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude to work in a changing environment.
  • A customer service mindset, with a commitment to supporting the needs of students and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
