Title: Legal Counsel (4PQE+)

Client
I am working with a market-leading global investment firm that is considered a prominent player in the investment management industry, leveraging its expertise and international presence to deliver high-quality service to its clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic legal team of a global investment leader. You will provide key regulatory advice and support across EMEA-serviced regulated funds, bespoke mandates, and solutions structures, focusing on UCITS and AIF vehicles in the UK and Luxembourg.
Role
- Providing regulatory advice on UCITS and AIF (including LTAF and ELTIF) vehicles, focusing on liquid, semi-liquid, and public/private strategies.
- Offering intermediary fund distribution advice for UK and Luxembourg funds.
- Assisting the Lead Product Counsel and broader Product Legal Team in London and Luxembourg.
- Drafting and negotiating legal documentation, including prospectuses, KIIDs, pre-contractual disclosures (SDR and SFDR), and other related agreements.
- Supporting Product Development teams with regulatory advice and documentation related to fund launches and distribution.
- Advising on cross-border fund marketing and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Contributing to regulatory projects and assisting in the interpretation and implementation of new regulations, such as Consumer Duty, DORA, SFDR, and MiFID II.
- Collaborating with external counsel for non-UK or specialist matters when required.
Profile
- 4+ PQE with strong experience in investment management and regulatory frameworks (UCITS, AIFMD), happy to consider outside of this range.
- Excellent contract law knowledge and drafting skills.
- Previous experience working within private practice or in-house, with exposure to the financial services sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with senior management and external clients.
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
