Your new role
The postholder will lead and manage the delivery of soft services functions: cleaning, security, portering, mail, reception, catering, grounds, and pest control. Services are delivered using a combination of in-house directly employed team members and external suppliers. Ensure all statutory and NHS standards are maintained, services are delivered efficiently in line with good practice, and that value for money is achieved.
To lead, motivate, manage and co-ordinate the efficient and effective delivery of soft services, and be responsible for the effective service monitoring, review and remedial action-taking across all areas of responsibility. Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of services are provided and responsible for the ongoing review and updating of work related schedules within these services areas. Work flexibly across entire range of service operations, ensuring correct focus and priority is maintained and key initiatives and or projects prioritised in accordance with the Trust’s strategy and operational plans.To manage the Soft Services team, which comprises 4 direct reports and 8 further indirect reports, as well as outsourced service delivery partners. Manage service contracts to ensure the service is being delivered in line with the contract specification, terms and conditions, KPIs and that value for money is being achieved.Hold regular performance review meetings with the contractors to review, analyse and challenge where necessary the content of all service reports and manage any actions required through to satisfactory.What you'll need to succeed
Educated to degree level or equivalentPost-graduate or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. IWFM Qual, CIPS), or equivalent experienceContinuing professional development in the management of FM servicesContinuing professional development in leadership and managementManagement of soft services in a similar/related environmentProcurement and performance management of service contracts.Management of directly employed support teams in a public sector environment. Budgetary responsibility for pay and non-pay operational expenditureWhat you'll get in return
An initial 6 month fixed term contract at a pro rated salary of £45,000 - 50,000 per annum plus package
