Application Support Lead - Fixed Income (Rates) - £125k

Application Support: UNIX: Structured Rates: Exchange Connectivity: SQL: FIX

One of my clients, a reputable and successful Investment Bank, is looking to hire an Application Support Lead to join a small team who support a number of cross-asset applications that provide critical information for traders across the Structured Rates business. The applications you will be supporting are both bespoke built apps and connectivity applications which traders use to connect to multiple exchanges and brokers.

Other responsibilities include:

• Supporting issues at a L1/L2 level and escalating appropriately according to internal logging process.
• Lead stability enhancements to the Bank’s Structured Rates platform.
• Documenting any resolutions with the user as well as training them to reduce issues.
• Establishing relationships with user base, including senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Development teams so that you gain knowledge to alleviate any L3 issues in the future.
• Help with testing and business continuity processes.

To be right for this role, you must have the following:

• Proven track record of working as an Application Support Analyst at another financial services firm within Fixed Income (Rates).
• Previous experience in the following technologies: Unix, SQL, FIX, Exchange Connectivity, Messaging middleware.
• Experience of technical support across a demanding user base in Fixed Income.
• Ability to read and write SQL queries.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Some Bash scripting and automation will be massively beneficial.

The company are operating a hybrid way of working. You will be expected to work in the office three days a week, with the option to work two days a week from home. This role will pay around the £120k-£125k basic + bonus and benefits.
