Delighted to be supporting a well-established law firm based in Central London in recruiting a Junior Finance Analyst to join their finance department. The ideal candidate will be either an undergraduate looking for their first role, a school leaver with A-levels/BTEC equivalent or up to 1 years’ experience in an entry level/finance administration role.

This role arises due to an expansion in the finance team and will be a new role within the commercial finance team. The role sits alongside three other areas in finance supporting the practice areas: revenue control, financial control and finance systems. The role will report directly to the Commercial Finance Business Partner, working closely alongside a variety of people.
Duties will include:
- delivery of all required reporting for the business accurately and on time;
- manage monthly FTE reporting and direct cost reviews for practice areas, supporting the finance team with variance analysis;
- support the development of new profitability reporting to the business;
- work within finance to ensure integrity and accuracy of data used in finance reporting;
- help to develop the reporting capability for other business services functions, including producing client profitability packs as well as other ad hoc analysis;
- ensure all data queries received are dealt with on a timely basis, identifying any common requests that could be better served by standardised reporting;
- utilise new technologies for new dashboards and reporting overtime;
- support on key annual presentations to the firm;
- support on preparation of financial information for the firms partner promotion process;
- help support the annual budgeting and forecasting process;
- calculation, loading and on-going maintenance of the firms cost rates in conjunction with finance systems, usually as part of the annual budgeting process;
- support the implementation of updated charge out rates when agreed through the budget process;
- analysis of profit levers to identify core trends and details; and
- work closely to help support key areas of process improvement across the finance function.
About you:
- good understanding of Excel;
- have meticulous attention to detail, quality, and work with extremely high levels of accuracy;
- self-motivated and proactive with high levels of motivation and deliver orientated focus;
- excellent communication;
- comfortable managing and prioritising your own workload;
- work well on your own or in a team as needed;
- highly organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks and deliver to service levels; and
- able to interact with and develop working relationships internally.
