Senior Product Designer

Product Designer opportunity with a SaaS startup. This is a hybrid role with one day per week spent in their London office.

This opportunity will best suit a designer who loves autonomy within a small team. Working closely within the product team and alongside developers, you are confident in your abilities to run with a brief and make decisions.

If you enjoy the product discovery aspect of design, you’ll also enjoy consulting with stakeholders on their ideas and rapid prototyping to test concepts and iterate on design.

Experience in a startup environment is essential as you won’t have the banks of support offered within large corporates. You are flexible in your approach and can design in a modular way so that designs can be evolved, reused and scaled with ease.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points
• Develop user personas, user journeys, and scenarios to guide design processes
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs and rapid prototyping to confirm requirements with customers
• Workshop design concepts and solutions with customers and gather feedback
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to iterate on designs based on feedback and testing
• Analyse testing results and make necessary design adjustments
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Several years of experience in UX design for web and cloud apps
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and modular approach to design
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
• Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
