Packhouse Manager

Job Purpose: To manage the packing facility and related quality and protocol measures, operational teams, and processes to meet packhouse requirements in a safe and efficient manner including human resources and customer services. Key Accountability: Operations efficiencies. Monitoring and Measuring Performance and Quality. Protocol Adherence. Human Resources/ Industrial relations. Oversee Maintenance. Customer Service and Communication. Financial Management. Food safety and compliance. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualification in Agriculture/ Business Development/Engineering or Industrial Engineering. 5 - 10 years experience in a Packhouse Manager role or similar role within the food, beverages, or manufacturing facility. Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, SIZA, and Global Gap Accreditation. Skills and Competencies: Excellent leadership and people management skills - practical experience in handling people at all levels and a strong record of achievement through building successful teams. Able to work in a highly competitive collaborative market space. Can-do attitude - results driven and able to implement operationally. The ability to plan and execute in a structured manner is essential. Be prepared to work long hours and overtime.
