Agile Product Owner (Data & BI)

ENVIRONMENT: A highly experience Agile Product Owner with a strong background in data & Business Intelligence (BI) work streams, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products in an Agile environment is sought by a reputable Asset Management Group. You will develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for data and BI initiatives, prioritize and manage the product backlog and lead spring planning sessions and define sprint goals. The successful incumbent must possess a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, preferably have a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile Certification with at least 5 years experience in a similar role including experience in Asset Management or Financial Services. You must also have knowledge of SQL & Data Modelling and be proficient with Tableau and Power BI. DUTIES: Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for data and BI initiatives. Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and IT teams, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories. Sprint Planning and Execution: Lead sprint planning sessions, define sprint goals, and ensure the team delivers high-quality increments. Data and BI Focus: Oversee the development and implementation of data and BI solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and drive value. Performance Metrics: Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data and BI initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by regularly reviewing processes and implementing best practices. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile Certification preferred. Experience/Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, with a focus on data and BI projects. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Proficiency in Data Analysis, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and Data Management platforms. Experience in the Asset Management or Financial Services industry. Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices. Knowledge of SQL and Data Modelling.
