Job Purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer . The Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for developing new Manufacturing Test systems in the Product Development process for Automotive ICE and Electrification Products. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing engineering test leader for product development program teams responsible for pre-serial production program launch of new electrification product test solutions; Owner of manufacturing test system design for test equipment throughout pre-production product design cycle; Design and document test mechanizations needed for equipment builds; Conduct peer reviews of test plans; Support completion of TTT list; Collaborate with systems and electrical design engineers to define test requirements, product testability software, and test loads; Support plants for customer meetings; On-site installation of test equipment; Support GME team with information needed for CAPEX activities; Conduct pre-production prototype and validation builds in engineering proto lab operations; Work with global manufacturing plant operations staff, new program launch leaders, and manufacturing engineering to ensure successful product launch into serial production operations; Support new business pursuit Start Center activities by providing guidance for test equipment cycle times and cost estimates as well as required test processes. Advise on possible test architecture changes to aid in CAPEX reduction. What We’re Looking For Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Minimum 10 years Engineering experience with functional test of engine controllers, transmission controllers, inverters, and/or DCDC converters as well as experience with HIPOT, PTC, Run-In, and R-Theta tests; Experience working with NI TestStand; Completion of high voltage training; Experience working with high power devices; Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization; Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics for ICE and Electrification products; Manufacturing Engineering Production Support experience; Nice to have software development skills in one or more software languages: MS Visual Basic, C++, or C; Analytical, technical, and statistical skills; Detail-oriented and self-motivated; Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills; Experience working with international manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers; Available to travel internationally required, up to 20% of the time; Experience training others.
