Overview of Division/Department

APCF-RAP is established to provide operational support to all Asia Pacific offices to improve their operational efficiency & effectiveness through the following: Promotion of ISO20022 project with cooperation of HO related departments, Singapore and other branches.
Promotion of MGS outsourcing in Asia-Pacific region.
Promotion of PM/BA human resource development and enhance capability of regional project team.
Enhancement of operation standardization in Asia-Pacific region.
Enhancement of BCP resilience in Asia-Pacific region

Job Responsibilities
Regional Operations Analysis
  • Analyze banking operation process of Asia-Pacific offices, visualize the workflow & business requirement.
  • Gather regulatory requirement information (SWIFT, Local settlement etc) and ensure these requirements are properly reflected in business requirement document.
  • Clearly explain business requirement to system development team.
  • Identify bottleneck to streamline operation processes and plan strategy to deal with it.
  • Analyze current BCP of Asia-Pacific offices and design further enhancement to build robust operations.


    Project Management
  • Manage projects (ISO20022, Core Banking System Replacement, Operation Process Outsourcing etc) as representative of regional operation and ensure the completion of all processes/ tasks as a project manager.
  • Lead team members and vendors to complete all tasks as planned and as required.
  • Lead projects, which include resolving issues, managing vendors/ resources / budgets/ schedules, and prepare reports to management and Head Office for approval when required.
  • Coordinate all processes to ensure that all tasks progress smoothly for users and developers/ vendors, as well as for external parties such as industrial parties, internal legal parties and auditors.
  • Communicate and negotiate with Head Office, and guide management in Asia-Pacific regions properly with strong leadership to promote projects.


Job Requirements
  • Diverse knowledge of various back-office operations (especially payment) and Operations Planning.
  • Prior experience on banking system enhancement or replacement project (Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, BCP Planning, Training, UAT etc).
  • Expertise in SWIFT (User Hand Book, MX message specification) is strongly encouraged.
  • Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (verbal & written) is an advantage as the incumbent is expected to read & understand documents as well as respond and communicate with all levels within the organization (project members, Head Office teams including management in Tokyo) and external parties (Japanese system vendors, accounting firms, law firms, monetary authority).
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Willing to travel for short business trips to Asia-Pacific offices when required.
