Lead Data Engineer As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a modern data platform, ensuring data governance and ultimately enabling advanced analytics capabilities and data science models. We are seeking a forward-thinking individual who possesses a clear understanding of the structure and development of a data engineering team and that is able to split its time between team management and single contribution. We are looking for a candidate who continuously updates their knowledge base with the evolving tools and technologies within this domain, and who exhibits a comprehensive understanding of structuring and fostering a data engineering team. If you think you fit in the role, we’d like to meet you Requirements: 6 years professional experience as Data Engineer 1 years managing Data Engineers Experience with ETL tools, such as Talend Hands-on experience with relational databases and cloud databases, in particular Redshift Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Spark, Java Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Italian and proficiency in English language Experience in Data Architecture: Cloud Architecture, Data & Solution Architecture, API, Amazon Web Services Requirement analysis and data governance Preferred skills & experience: AWS glue or dbt Web API integrations Google Cloud Queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka) Customer Data Platforms (Segment) What we offer: Full-time employment with a commercial contract Monday to Friday work week In addition to optimal work-life balance, we offer job rotation, conventions and employee discounts Florence or Milan What to expect next… First and foremost, we take great care to go through each and every application we receive in order to determine if the candidate fits the profile we’re looking for.
