Field Service Engineer/Technician Opportunity
ARCA is excited to offer a unique Field Service Engineer/Technician role on behalf of our client, a global leader in advanced systems for maritime and shore-based applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician ready to bring their expertise to clients worldwide.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer/Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting and maintaining sophisticated systems on naval and commercial vessels as well as shore installations. This field-based role involves:
- Frequent Travel: Both within the UK and internationally, typically on short trips of up to two weeks, sometimes with little notice.
- Service Interventions: Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and conducting acceptance tests.
- Technical Reporting: Submit detailed service reports and share field insights with management.
- Customer Support: Provide guidance through the technical helpdesk and develop technical advice materials while in the office.
- Quality Commitment: Uphold high standards of Quality, Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction in every task.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re seeking a candidate who is technically skilled, self-driven, and physically fit to meet the demands of this role. The ideal candidate will have:
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, basic networking skills, and a good understanding of computer systems.
- Physical Agility: Comfortable carrying tools (up to 10 kg), climbing stairs, ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Field Service Experience: Preferably in marine environments, though other sectors are welcome.
- Qualifications & Documentation: A full driving license, valid passport, and ideally ONC qualified or committed to certification.
