Job Description
MEP Manager | South Wales
Our client, a tier 1 Main Contractor are currently seeking a MEP Manager to oversee a major new build project in South Wales.
The ideal candidate will have £100m plus project experience ideally working with Main Contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate all MEP activities, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure that all MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) meet project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall build process.
• Oversee the work of MEP contractors, ensuring quality control, adherence to health and safety standards, and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and report regularly to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Address any technical issues that arise during construction and provide innovative solutions.
Key Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Manager, ideally on large-scale new build projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Proven experience in managing MEP contractors and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
