Job Description
The UK's nuclear decommissioning authority is looking to bring onboard an electrical project engineer who has nuclear experience for a very interesting project that has kicked off in Wales.
Position: Electrical Engineer
Contract Length: 48 months
Location: Trawsfynydd
Pay Rate: £481.25 per day
Key Responsibilities
Create and review electrical designs and specifications for projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Support the planning and execution of electrical engineering projects.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
Conduct technical assessments of project proposals and modifications.
Review contractor submissions, including work instructions and risk assessments.
Provide technical supervision during the construction and installation of electrical systems.
Ensure adherence to design intent and safety regulations on site.
Liaise with project stakeholders, including system engineers and contractors, throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather feedback and address concerns.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical reports and specifications.
Approve as-built drawings and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Uphold all Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality policies.
Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and compliance.
Maintain site configuration control and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Knowledge of CDM regulations and safety standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
