Job Description

Our client, a well-established accountancy firm based in the Kendal area, South Lakes, is seeking an enthusiastic Account Assistant to join their team. If you have a passion for numbers, excellent communication skills, and a desire to provide exceptional service to clients, this could be the perfect role for you!
The induvial ideally would be ACCA level/ study ACCA and can prepare work ready for review.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Prepare with tax returns and computations alongside the accounts work.
Filing VAT returns.
Bank Reconciliations
Basic Tax Advice
Communicate confidently and professionally with clients.
Handle queries and correspondence with HMRC.
Analyse data and produce accurate reports.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in preparing self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts, and corporation tax computations.
Currently studying towards AAT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent experience.
Ability to meet deadlines and take a proactive approach.
Strong attention to detail and aptitude for figures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Motivated, enthusiastic, and self-driven.
Ability to work towards individual and team targets.
Problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate and organise.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge and experience of using cloud accounting software.
Knowledge and experience of using Sage software.
