We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high quality technical and commercial offers
- Coordinate domestic and international customer relationships as part of the sales team
- Produce robust cost estimates using proprietary programs and spreadsheets
- Maintain accurate records of design and pricing changes and revisions
- Obtain quotations for materials and subcontracted equipment from external suppliers
- Assist in seeking out new market opportunities / business development
- Product design: collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to produce thermal / process designs for tendering purposes, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements. Training for use of relevant thermal design programs will be provided by the company
- Communicate with clarity to clients and interface with internal stakeholders
- Continuous improvement: stay updated with market and industry trends, emerging markets and applications
- Health and Safety: work with a safety-first ethos and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications/ Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, alternatively an HNC/ONC or equivalent or above qualification in a related field (Level 4)
- Previous technical sales experience
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint…)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Willingness for international and domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Relevant experience in thermal / mechanical design or manufacturing of boiler pressure parts and / or shell & tube heat exchangers
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations related to heat exchangers and pressure vessels
