Job Description
Fawkes And Reece are proud to be working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor in their search for an experienced Bid Writer to join their team in Sheffield.
Our client is looking for a Bid Writer to join their team on bids working across an array of sectors including commercial, accommodation, distribution, healthcare, leisure, industrial and various Frameworks. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to exciting projects, agile working, progressions opportunities and even more.
You will be joining the close knit Pre-Construction team working closely with the operations and design teams, reporting directly to the Pre-Construction Manager.
Responsibilities of a Bid Writer
As a Bid Writer, you'll contribute to the planned and sustained business growth by creating compelling, quality content for submissions, and proactively support subject matter experts in the bidding process including guidance on writing and content.
Duties of a Bid Writer include:
Leading & coordinating storyboard sessions to develop tailored content & responses to PQQs
Assist in the innovation of sharing & presenting information; and applying client bid feedback to future responses to drive continuous improvement.
Re-working proposal responses from a variety of internal stakeholders & colleagues, such as operations, commercial, legal & HR; and deliver completed proposal responses to agreed deadlines.
Due to the nature of this role & industry, you'll need to understand and apply public procurement legislation and other relevant policies to written responses.
Requirements of a Bid Writer
This role of Bid Writer is great for you if you:
Salary up to £45,000 DOE.
Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
Have a professional writing background, degree related to English Language, and bid writing / management experience.
Have advanced MS Word & Office skills, and be proficient in desktop publishing & design software such as Adobe InDesign.
