English Teacher - Slough
Tradewind recruitment are working a secondary school based in Slough who are currently looking for an English Teacher.
School are looking for someone to start from January 2025 on a long term contract until July 2025 with the possibility of extending the contract onto next academic year.
This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Salary will match London fringe MPS/UPS.
Ideal English Teacher will be:
Deeply committed to teaching English to secondary students and eager to actively engage in the school community.
Skilled at setting and upholding high standards of student behaviour to foster a focused and productive classroom atmosphere.
Creative and inspiring, with well-developed routines and strategies that align with the school's core values.
Proven ability to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for all students.The school strives to foster critical thinking and debate, emphasising the relevance of the texts and themes we explore in relation to contemporary issues. With an engaging curriculum, they aim to help students reach their full potential, while also recognising the essential foundations required to support and nurture diverse learners.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A relevant degree
Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
