Senior Product Development Manager

Location: Glasgow City Centre

Hybrid & Flexible Working (typically 2 days in the office)

(12 month FTC)

Our client a financial service customer-centric business, is looking for a new Senior Product Development Manager. This role offers an incredible opportunity to develop a range of savings and insurance products, planning and delivering new products and enhancements to existing products, customer journeys, and digital developments. You'll drive the development of product sets and identify new partnership opportunities, playing a lead role in cross-functional teams.

The Role:

This role focuses on product development, managing and enhancing products, and identifying new partnership opportunities. You'll work across the business, including Marketing, Change, IT, Finance, Customer Services, and Risk, and with various third parties.

Responsibilities:

• Lead product enhancements to meet customer needs and strategic goals.
• Identify new opportunities via market understanding and feedback.
• Collaborate to prioritize initiatives and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Document and validate requirements and journeys from stakeholders.
• Provide technical input into product development requirements.
• Coordinate and support product implementations and communication plans.
• Monitor product performance and lead retrospectives post-launch.
• Identify and engage new partners for product distribution.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risks for all products.
• Provide ongoing relationship management with key partners.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product development or Product Owner roles in financial services.
• Proactive approach to identifying new product opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, report writing, and presentation delivery.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Strong understanding of savings and insurance products, and relevant regulations.
• Appreciation of key customer, conduct, and business risks in product development and management.
