Purchasing Officer Location: Ballymena Package: £32k depending on experience plus 30 days holidays (plus stats) time keeping bonus up to £1100 Fulltime Permanent position Working hours: Core hours are 8am - 5pm / Monday - Friday with some flexibility. Role and responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets, while managing supplier relationships and performance. Collaborate with departments (production, finance, operations) to align procurement with business needs and streamline processes. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and resolve supply issues to ensure smooth operations and minimize costs. Essential: 1+ years of experience as a Purchasing Officer / Purchasing administrator Strong negotiation and administration skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the procurement team. Willingness to be flexible to suit business needs.
