Accounts Assistant
Location: Biggleswade
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Rate: £14 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Temp, 2-3 Months
Are you an experienced finance professional with a knack for teamwork and adaptability? We’re hiring on behalf of our client in Biggleswade for a Finance & Accouts Assistant role. This is a diverse, hands-on position within a close-knit finance team, where you’ll cover essential finance functions during an extended leave period.
Key Responsibilities:
Input approved supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Administer and track company credit cards, verifying receipts and posting costs in Sage.
Process employee credit card expenses, ensuring correct posting to Sage.
Check receipts and record petty cash expenditures for all offices.
Assist with data input across finance functions as required.
Review job costing hours against payroll hours to support payroll accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
At least 2 years in an accounts receivable role is essential.
Strong knowledge of Sage 200, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with CIS reverse VAT.
Ready to jump in and assist in various areas as part of a collaborative finance team.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
A high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
