Job Description
Job Title: Handyman
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance experienced Handyman to cover a large site in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and both planned and reactive maintenance within your skillset.
Manage subcontractors in line with company policies.
Liaise with suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring good value.
Assist skilled tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation tasks.
Conduct minor repairs to building fabric to ensure safety and security for clients, staff, and visitors.
Safely respond to adverse weather conditions, including snow clearing, gritting, flooding, and high winds.
Participate in training to meet service requirements and enhance skills.
Carry out duties at various sites within your portfolio.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies across all sites.
Maintain positive relationships with clients.
Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize penalty deductions per project agreements.
Keep all servicing records updated and compliant with statutory guidelines.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in maintenance or handyman roles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.
