Job Description
My client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team and work alongside their team of senior engineers, due to the continued growth of the company. They're looking for a candidate with 3+ years experience in UK residential and commercial building services sector. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for mechanical engineering with the following areas of expertise:
* Good understanding of residential and commercial buildings
* Full understanding of Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE Guides
* Ability to undertake heating & cooling calculations using IES VE software
* Capable of completing pipe sizing calculations
* Good understanding of ASHP, EAHP & District heating networks
* Proficient in using AutoCAD, Revit is desirable but not essential
* Must be an effective communicator in both written and verbal skills
* Be able to manage their own time in order to meet strict deadlines
* An ability to follow company standards and use standard documents
* Have a keen eye for detail
* Liaise with senior members of staff to ensure that targets are met and that any issues arising on projects can be dealt with
* Preparation and reviewing of drawings completed by internal CAD team
* The role will predominately be remote, however the business may require you to travel to meet with clients.
* You will be required to be fluent in English as our clients are UK based.
* Must be located in the South-East of England and able to attend client meetings.
