Job Description
Our client, a leading player in the Energy sector, is currently seeking a Principal Technical Safety Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the first major energy transition projects in the UK. Office attendance is required three days per week in Manchester, although Teesside/Wilton may also be alternative office locations. This is an outside IR35 opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and delivering full technical safety reports and documentation
Conducting safety assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety designs
Providing expert safety advice and support to project teams
Reviewing and analysing safety data to identify and mitigate risks
Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices
Engaging in regular communication with stakeholders to discuss safety issues
Job Requirements:
Degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience in Technical Safety within the oil and gas industry
Knowledge of process safety principles and practices
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Experience with onshore pipelines highly advantageous
Experience with CO2 projects would be an advantage
