we are partnered with a well-established manufacturer specialising in precision engineering space with a fantastic local reputation. We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering division.
Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and improving overall equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of manufacturing machinery.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
* Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
* Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in CNC machinary
* Strong mechanical engineering background;
* Familiarity with precision engineering processes and machinery.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) in mechanical engineering.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
