Design Engineer

Job Description

Our client is hiring for growth purposes, following their continued good work in the high-speed machinery industry. The role of Design Engineer is a crucial part of the engineering function, this opening in particular has a fair amount of scope due to their being several areas within the business that could benefit from an experienced Design Engineer joining the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for both conceptual and bespoke re-designs
• Compiling parts lists and maintaining drawing records, following technical office procedures
• Handling several projects simultaneously and supporting the design function on larger group projects
• Occasional site visits with customers both new and old across the UK and overseas
• Liaising with suppliers

Skill Required

• Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng or Meng)
• Full product life cycle design experience (ideally over 7 years in industry)
• Industry experience within machinery design (conveyors, bearing, mechanisms etc)
• Full UK Manual or Automatic Licence

Compensation & Other Benefits

• Salary £50,000 to £60,000 per annum + Benefits
