Job Description

Our client a global leader in recreational goods is seeking a new Product Designer Manager to join their team full time!


Salary: 85-95k


What this role will do:


  • Lead and Manage the Product Design Team
  • Oversee a team of Industrial Designers and Product Designers, ensuring that design quality, project efficiency, and cost objectives are met while adhering to deadlines.
  • Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Promote closer collaboration between design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a holistic approach to product development.
  • Optimize the Design Review Process
  • Facilitate design reviews by educating the team on production costs, manufacturing constraints, and product outcomes to ensure efficient and effective design solutions.
  • Support Research and Innovation
  • Leverage user research, usability testing, and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation, ensuring designs meet customer needs and industry trends.



Experience Needed:


  • 5+ Years of Experience in a Related Design Role
  • Proven experience in product design, with a strong understanding of design processes, creativity, and innovation within the consumer goods industry or a similar field.
  • Supervisory Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and leading design teams, including providing one-on-one support, overseeing project reviews, and managing deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with Overseas Manufacturing Operations
  • Hands-on experience working directly with international manufacturing partners, particularly in managing production costs, manufacturing limitations, and design outcomes.
