The Role:
The school is looking for an English Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, engaging students with the English language and literature. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical lessons, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level English exams, and fostering a love for reading and writing.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching English to students aged 11 to 18, across Years 7 to 13
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level English exams, ensuring they reach their full potential
Creating engaging and creative lessons that inspire a passion for literature and language
Supporting curriculum development and contributing to the extra-curricular activities within the English department
Providing constructive feedback and academic support to promote student success
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English at secondary school level, ideally with students aged 11 to 18
A passion for English literature and language, with the ability to engage and motivate students
Strong organisational and communication skills
