The Role:
The school is looking for an English Teacher who can teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students aged 11 to 18 with a passion for both English language and literature. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students, preparing them for their GCSE and A-Level English exams. Key Responsibilities:
Teaching English to students aged 11 to 18, across Years 7 to 13
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level English exams
Creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed
Supporting the development of the English curriculum and contributing to extra-curricular activities within the English department
Providing timely feedback and academic support to ensure all students make progress
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in English or a closely related subject
Experience teaching English at secondary school level, ideally including experience with 11 to 18-year-olds
A passion for English and a commitment to inspiring a love for literature and language in your students
Excellent communication and organisational skills
