Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Lending Surveyor. Our client are a prominent independent firm specialising in a broad range of property services, including valuations for commercial lending purposes. They aim to provide expert guidance for their clients, helping them navigate property-related financial decisions.



What You Can Expect

  • Location – London (Remote)
  • Salary – Up to £70,000

Main Responsibilities as a Senior Commercial Lending Surveyor

  • Commercial Property Surveys: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial properties, focusing on their structure, condition, and market value in the context of lending decisions.
  • Valuation & Reporting: Prepare precise property valuations and deliver detailed reports for lenders, adhering to industry guidelines and client specifications.
  • Risk Evaluation: Analyse and highlight potential risks, including structural concerns, market trends, and legal considerations, and communicate these findings to lenders.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main liaison for lender clients, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the valuation and lending assessment process.
  • Compliance: Ensure all valuations and assessments conform with regulatory standards and industry best practices, including RICS Red Book requirements.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor junior surveyors and provide them with technical guidance to ensure high-quality output across the team.
  • Business Development: Collaborate on business development initiatives, strengthening relationships with commercial lenders and identifying opportunities for growth.


Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

  • Professional Accreditation: Chartered Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) accreditation is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property surveying, with an emphasis on valuations for lending purposes.
  • Commercial Property Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of commercial property law, construction, and market dynamics.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including the RICS Red Book and other valuation standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying risks and providing actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise in both written and verbal communication, able to explain complex valuations to a diverse audience.
  • IT Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard valuation software and reporting tools.
