Job Description
Our client, a distinguished participant in the HTP sector, is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This contract role focuses on highway projects and requires a proactive approach to cost management and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and managing cost estimates and budgets for highway projects
Manage a team of 2 Quantity Surveyors
Conducting cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Assessing and valuing contractors' work and processing payments
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Negotiating contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers
Conducting feasibility studies and risk management assessments
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
Job Requirements:
Experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the highway sector
Strong cost estimation and budget management skills
Knowledge of tender processes and contract law
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Understanding of risk management principles and practices
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency in relevant software and tools
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
