The Role
The purpose of this IT Support Engineer position is to help support the IT infrastructure and employee-related IT support cases for all of offices and employees.
As your position and knowledge progresses, you will also have the opportunity to assist the growth and maintenance of multiple locations and computer networks across our clients group, along with managing the server infrastructure that is primarily a Microsoft environment supporting 500+ UK&I users.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain all corporate computer systems and corporate cloud environment.
Perform systems and security monitoring and takes mitigating action as required.
Perform regular data and operating system backups, patches and software updates.
Maintain system backups, data archives and system and audit security logs.
Work with vendors and support engineers to resolve service outages or disruptions.
Ensure IT tasks or projects are accomplished within the designated timeframe.
Configure, deploy, and maintain local and remote IT equipment.
Maintain an accurate accounting of the corporate accounts and IT inventory.
Assist deployments of new hardware and software solutions.
Assist with the planning, documentation and execution of IT projects.
Assist in creating formal documentation of IT policies, processes and procedures.
Provide subject matter training for IT team members or company personnel.
Provide first and second line technical support to employees of varied IT-skill levels.
Maintain accurate records and regularly communicate timely status update reports.
Compile information to support operational plans of or technical recommendations.
Attend and contribute to regular department, staff meetings or technical group discussions.
Contribute to team effort by performing assigned duties and perform other duties as assigned.Key Skills
You're a passionate technical troubleshooter who loves solving problems and getting involved in IT projects!
You're comfortable working across the Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
Experience with basic LAN and WAN technologies
Experience supporting and administering Active Directory and O365 (i.e. MS Teams etc...)
Any experience with VOIP Management or Print Management software would be beneficial
Any experience in the following areas would beneficial OKTA, Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, PTRG, Bomgar, ServiceNOW, Datto, Bitlocker, intune , Autopilot and Apple Mac OS.
Any experience working in a Cloud based environments is a bonus, but not essential
You have excellent communication skills and are able to speak with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems and client/server environments.
