Job Description
The regional Financial Crime Risk teams within Macquarie perform an essential function to our businesses in providing advice on customer onboarding, AML/KYC, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption matters.

What role will you play?

Working with our risk and support teams, you will be involved in policy formation and execution, performing monitoring and assurance and regulatory management on Financial Crime Risk matters as well as advising on day-to-day customer/client onboarding queries and standards. You will support our Asian business activities region wide with a focus on Hong Kong and Singapore on AML/CFT, anti-bribery and corruption matters and assisting on sanctions risk management for bank and non-bank activities.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.

What you offer

- 3-5 years' related experience within the banking and finance industry or relevant experience in audit, legal, risk management, preferably with coverage of Singapore or Hong Kong
- Ability to provide advice to businesses on a transactional or deal specific basis, helping identify Financial Crime Risk and advising on risk mitigating measures, including new product assessments and supporting the approval process
- Experience in advising on Financial Crime Risk related projects and initiatives including regulatory change projects, policy updates and implementation
- Willingness to learn new businesses, products and processes with an interest to build knowledge, expertise and profile
- Persuasive written and verbal communication skills in English. Abilities in other relevant Asian languages will be an advantage.
