Job Description
MaitlandQS are engaged to support our clients with many complex projects, responsible for all aspects of cost management and project delivery and we are seeking MEP Quantity Surveyors in the Manchester Region to act as the day-to-day interface with our clients driving projects to achieve an excellent outcome.
Key Elements:
- Have experienced knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical measurement and valuation.
- Managing the value and cost management of complex work packages.
- Managing communications between the Clients team and stakeholders to meet project supply and delivery targets.
- Delivering profitability on assigned work packages and working with others to ensure the delivery of commercial targets across the project.
- Managing risk and change in assigned work packages.
- Working with the legal team to draft agreements and contract documents.
- Providing commercial advice and support to the Client’s team.
- Producing monthly client applications and cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
- Building effective working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
- Implementing and monitoring administrative and management systems in support of the existing project control system and process.
- Monitoring and managing compliance with commercial agreements.
- Presenting in regular project cost reports and risk meetings
Qualifications
- Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and specialist systems, as they relate to construction of projects.
- Understanding of JCT and/or NEC standard forms of contract
- Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Great organisational skills, ability to multi-task and be a team player.
- Preferable Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
- RICS accredited or working towards.
