Lead Frontend Engineer

Location: Poland Street, London

The role


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers
  • Architect, design, and implement complex frontend solutions
  • Drive projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative frontend solutions across both greenfield and legacy estates
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and enforce architectural guidelines for frontend development
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends
  • Champion user-centric design and development practices
  • Adapt quickly to changing requirements and technological landscapes


Skills and Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in frontend development
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully delivered complex frontend projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with microservices architecture and its implications on frontend development
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with scalable, high-performance web applications

  • Experience implementing and extending design systems
  • Experience with ReactFlow
  • Proficiency in 2D graphics with HTML canvas
  • Expertise in Tailwind CSS
  • Experience with WebSocket implementations in frontend applications
  • Knowledge of build system configuration and optimization
