Mechanical Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider - Production Environment - Swindon - Up to £42,000
An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in Swindon has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to be based on a production contract in Swindon. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have proven track record in mechanical and/or HVAC building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £37,000 + £5,000 Shift Allowance, overtime, further training, and a potential route into further career progression.

4 on, 4 off Days Only
7 am - 7 pmKey Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor mechanical plant
Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
General building fabric
Escort specialist sub contractors
General building fabric
Undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.
Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed.
Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.Package
Salary of up to £37,000 + £5,000 Shift Allowance (£42,000)
Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential)
Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3 (Advantageous)
F-Gas Category 1 (Advantageous)

A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Multi-skilled
Good communication skills
